The Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat is a multilingual academic and research-based platform dedicated to the study, preservation, and presentation of the Islamic doctrine of the Finality of Prophethood. The project publishes carefully researched material in English, Urdu, and Arabic, making authentic scholarship accessible to readers, students, researchers, religious scholars, and educational institutions worldwide.

The doctrine of Khatm-e-Nabuwat—the absolute and unconditional finality of the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ—is a fundamental and universally established belief of Islam. It is firmly grounded in the Holy Quran, the authentic Sunnah, the consensus of the Muslim Ummah, and the continuous scholarly tradition of Islam. This encyclopedia aims to present that doctrine through rigorous academic research, reliable references, clear reasoning, and responsible scholarly discussion.

Throughout history, certain individuals and movements have attempted to distort, dilute, or corrupt the established meaning of Khatm-e-Nabuwat through selective readings, invented distinctions, misleading terminology, and interpretations unsupported by the Holy Quran, the authentic Sunnah, and the consensus of the Muslim Ummah. Such claims can obscure this fundamental doctrine and spread misconceptions among readers who may not have direct access to the primary sources. This platform therefore aims to identify and correct these misconceptions and forms of disinformation through evidence-based analysis, accurate documentation, and clear scholarly explanation, while maintaining academic fairness and intellectual responsibility.

The vision for the Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat was originally conceived by the late Mufti Muhammad Amin Qadri Hanafi. Recognizing the need for a dedicated platform to preserve and present authentic knowledge concerning the Finality of Prophethood, he initiated the acquisition of the project's domain on November 10, 2004. Sadly, Mufti Muhammad Amin Qadri Hanafi passed away on December 20, 2005, before this vision could be fully realized. Nevertheless, the domain was carefully preserved for more than two decades, allowing his scholarly aspiration to survive and eventually take practical form.

Building upon this foundational vision, the Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat was formally and practically initiated by Mufti Shah Rafi Uddin Hamdani, an Islamic scholar, researcher, editor, educator, and entrepreneur based in Karachi, Pakistan. He serves as Director of the Research Division of the Encyclopedia of Muhammad ﷺ and possesses extensive experience in Islamic research, Seerah studies, comparative religion, academic writing, institutional development, and multilingual digital publishing.

His combination of traditional Islamic scholarship, contemporary academic training, research leadership, and digital strategy has enabled him to develop initiatives that present authentic Islamic knowledge through modern research and publishing platforms. Under his direction, the long-preserved vision has been transformed into a structured, multilingual, and research-based academic project.

The Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat reflects his commitment to developing a comprehensive and internationally accessible scholarly resource through which the doctrine of the Finality of Prophethood can be studied with intellectual clarity, academic rigour, scholarly depth, and documentary evidence.

The project is supported by Shumail Qadri, a technology professional and digital development specialist who has contributed to its technical planning and digital implementation. His support has played an important role in transforming the project's academic vision into an accessible multilingual research portal.

This cooperation between Islamic scholarship, academic research, and modern technology enables the Encyclopedia of Khatm-e-Nabuwat to preserve authentic material, organize it systematically, and make it searchable and accessible to readers, students, researchers, scholars, and educational institutions throughout the world.
